Tr!ckster Fox Packaging: Rough ‘Sketch’

Klim and I talked over a packaging concept at Tr!ck2ter, and I’ve just started to work it out. I drew something up digitally, then quickly printed it out and assembled it. The new concept is a suitcase, similar to the carpetbag accessory that’ll be included with the figure. The ‘die-cut window’ is supposed to represent the bottles of patent medicine that he sells. There’ll probably be some explanatory graphics on the back - maybe in the guise of travel labels.

Here’s some iPhone pictures of this very rough assembly. It looks like a kindergarten project, I know, but I do think it’s useful to do - this helps me to figure out the practical aspects of the design. For instance, the whole box will probably need to be significantly bigger, I might push the dimensions of the fold-out ‘handle’ (just drawn on for now), and I don’t think that the current ‘thickness’ of the ‘suitcase’ is working, either. I’ll need to work more closely with the actual figure when I proceed to the next step!
